There is something about baking cookies that I find kind of magical... How butter, sugar and flour can create such amazing things... besides does three basic ingredients plus spices, and other things... a few minutes in the oven... they come out looking great and I may add delicious LOL... I really don't understand... Probably it has something to do with chemistry but I've never had to much interest in that... That just makes the experience a little confusing...so I have to say I really LOVE baking cookies... in general cooking... but it's almost Christmas so what better gift than a nice assortment of baked goods??!
What a good feeling is giving something that took you many hours to make and then receiving excellent comments about your work... It's definitely worth all the hard work!!... Now I understand why artists love what they do... I'm not calling myself an artist... just a amateur cook and a foodie.
And since I'm talking about cooking and baking I have to declare myself a complete FOODIE... So if you are wondering what is a foodie... A foodie is a person who loves food, loves cooking it, eating it and researching about it!... The term describes me perfectly!... So like a good foodie I have to be fan of something... I think I'm one of Martha Stewart´s biggest fans LOL... She has the greatest recipes ever... and you can never get them wrong... that's amazing! I want to be just like Martha... very succesful by doing what she loves... just not with the going to jail part!
So to keep track of my happiness project... definitely baking and cooking has to be on the list and declaring myself a foodie is a big step to being happier!
A place to keep track of my new adventures... or just random thoughts that very often come to my head
What is my happiness project?
This project started as the idea of doing everything I've been putting aside for the past 5 years, because "I didn't have time"... So after realizing that THIS IS IT... that there is no tomorrow... just the time we have today... I'm doing all the things that I think make me happy and blogging about them... to see the results... if I'm actually a happier person after all...

Hakuna Matata
There is one thing that I've found out that can change the crappiest day to laughter and joy... and that's dancing!
I'm a terrible dancer... No rhythm and zero coordination... But having a 1 year old trying to imitate you in your silly moves is priceless. It's moments like this that you wish to have a hidden camera to capture it!
I don't know how we ended up crawling in the floor of the living room at the sound of Hakuna Matata... and that was when I realized that we were living the words of that song... "Hakuna Matata what a wonderful phrase... Hakuna Matata ain't no passing craze... It means no worries for the rest of the daaaays... It's a problem free philosophy... HAKUNA MATATA!"

Let's start with a list
1. Read many books... Finish the books that I started and never finished and start to read all the ones that caught my eye at some point.
2. Organize all my photos... Do my NY scrapbook!
3. Get a routine with the gym and pilates.
4. Lose 10 pounds... hopefully... LOL
5. Learn to ride a bike.
6. Cook more... Try out all the recipes that I've collected for a long time.
7. Travel more... Visit my roommate in Chile!
8. Do random things just because they look or sound interesting.
Probably more things will come to my head...

My 1st blog!
Just in case you actually know me... You know that I speak spanish... But when I write I don't know why I like to do it in english... I really have no idea why... You can call me ridiculous, I don't care! You might see posts in spanish too.
So to start my Happiness Project I'm happy to announce that I'm 100% done with school... just have to wait for graduation in February!!... So it's time to put on writing what I want to accomplish in this next 6 months.
The idea to start this project came to my head for many reasons:
1. Because I've heard so many people complain about not doing the things that they love after finishing school because they go straight to look out for a job... and probably it's not a job that they are happy with... because they never found out what really made them happy.
2. Because I had a crappy year last year... I had a lot of losses... Let's just say that dead was a little to close of my loved ones... So I realized that life is too short to not be doing what you love to do... and because I don't actually know what I love to do... I want to start doing everything I think will make me happy!
3. Because I got inspired by the book "The Happiness Project" by Gretchen Ruben... because that's exactly what I want to do with this time I have for myself!
